Touching Testimonial

One of the things that I learned about or watched this semester that really impacted me was Rita Pierson's Ted Talk "Every Kid Needs A Champion". I think I've watched this specific video of hers close to 7 or 8 times now, and it still touches and inspires me every single time. Technology Integration

One of the great things about my CAPS Teacher Ed program is that I got hands-on experience working and learning about technology that is really used in the classroom and the education field! Two of the pieces of technology I really loved learning more about was the Q-Ball and the iPad workshop we did in class!

Professional Development

This year our class went to several conferences this year! Including Greenbush, Educators Rising Regional, and Educators Rising State Conference. I always learned and was inspired so much by all the speakers and presentations I witnessed during these conferences, and I even got present at one and compete at another!

Competitions

I was signed up in the fall to compete at the Educators Rising Regional Conference with "Impromptu Speaking", unfortunately I got sick and wasn't able to! But, this spring I got my chance to compete again at the Educators Rising State Conference in the "Ethical Dilemma" category with a team of my fellow classmates. We placed second and even qualified for Nationals in D.C. in June!

Certifications

One of the (I think) coolest things I got to complete online during the end of this year was get certified as an Apple Teacher! Very excited to take what I learned into the classroom and help educate others as well!
